Discover Your Smile at Southgate Dental Centre

Unfortunately, not everyone feels good about their smile. At Southgate Dental Centre, we believe everyone deserves to feel proud and confident in their smile. Our dentists in South Edmonton provide a variety of esthetic dental services in hopes of helping our patients feel like their smile is worth showing off.

All services are provided by general dentists.

Zoom! Whitening Could Brighten Your Smile

You’re not alone if you want a brighter smile than you currently have. We can use Zoom! dental whitening to help you achieve that goal!

Patients usually undergo 3 applications that take about 15 minutes for Zoom! whitening, which can provide up to 8 shades of difference in tooth colour. Although each treatment is under 1 hour, we do recommend that patients schedule a dental evaluation and cleaning before each whitening treatment.

What to Expect from a Zoom! Whitening Treatment

Once your gums have been covered with a protective barrier, the dentist will apply a body-safe hydrogen peroxide gel to your teeth. Using the special Zoom! light to activate the bleaching agent, your dentist will allow the gel to process for 15 minutes while you watch TV, listen to music, or use an in-office iPad. Once the gel finishes processing, the dentist will apply a fluoride gel to your teeth to help reduce sensitivity.

Not every patient is eligible for Zoom! Whitening. Ask us if it’s right for you during your next visit.

Dental Veneers & Restorations for Esthetics & Tooth Function

Veneers are thin shells or covers which are adhered to teeth to help restore their look and function. These shells come in a variety of materials and can address all sorts of issues, from chips and cracks to gaps and discolouration.

In addition to IPS Empress system veneers, we also offer other restoration options that can support the look and function of your teeth, including white, composite, and ceramic restorations.

White Restorations

If you are looking for a quick and noticeable difference in your smile, our in-office whitening treatments could be worth considering.

Using powerful yet gentle whitening agents, we can help you achieve results that can go beyond the results provided by many over-the-counter options.

Composite restorations are a natural-looking solution that can restore your smile’s health and function. Unlike traditional silver fillings, composite fillings are tooth-coloured and can seamlessly blend with your existing teeth for a beautiful, subtle repair.

Additionally, composite restorations typically require minimal removal of healthy tooth structure, which can help support the long-term health and strength of your smile.

Ceramic restorations combine aesthetics and durability, offering support for the appearance of your smile and your long-term oral health. These restorations are strong, long-lasting, and designed to mimic the natural appearance of your teeth, providing a natural, seamless look that complements your smile.

The versatility of ceramic restorations makes them a great choice for a variety of situations.

Complete Your Smile with Crowns

Southgate Dental offers dental crowns, a solution that can be a great choice for restoring damaged teeth. Crowns act like protective caps, preserving a tooth’s function and natural look.

Crafted from strong, tooth-coloured ceramic, dental crowns can blend beautifully with your smile. The CEREC technology we use often also allows same-day crown creation, helping reduce the appointments needed to get crowns.

Align Your Smile with Invisalign

Considering straightening your smile, but traditional braces don’t appeal? Southgate Dental offers Invisalign to help. These clear, custom-made aligners can discreetly adjust your teeth to help you get the look you want for your smile without brackets and wires.

Invisalign can address various concerns, from gaps to crowding, and may even work faster than braces for some people. Ask us about Invisalign during your next visit to learn more and find out if it’s right for you.

The truth is that lemon water can have both positive and negative effects on teeth, depending on how it is consumed. On one hand, the vitamin C found in lemons can help fight bacteria in the mouth and promote healthy gums.
